Mission
With unconditional love and justice, we provide support to people experiencing homelessness and to people who are marginalized, suffering from trauma, mental illness, or addiction to enhance mind, body, spirit, creativity, and community.
Goals
The members of the Board for Corazon Ministries, Inc. translate and activate the vision and mission by offering support and programs aimed at the whole person; physically, mentally; emotionally and spiritually.
Corazon San Antonio has been around for 20+ years in our community. What started out as a simple Sunday morning meal and volunteer clinic has grown into 6 different departments, helping and feeding thousands of clients each year. Our harm reduction center helped to stop 1500 possible overdoses in 2022 alone. The day center staff do case management with our clients, helping them to find the resources they need to get their identification, take showers, and get housing options underway.
Our kitchen staff prepare and serve hot meals to our clients 6 days per week. Our volunteer led clinic cares for clients twice per week, keeping them updated on their medications and caring for things such as skin infections and the like. Deborah's House offers residential living for women and their children who are participating in a recovery program. Our outreach team goes out on the streets to provide clients the care and support they need.
