Cornerstone Academy was formed in 1994 to serve students who have dropped out of the public school system.

Many of these students come from low-income families.  They cannot afford tuition. This fundraiser generates income 

for the students tuition.  The school has to raise 80% of its income to make budget for these students.  If a student attends Cornerstone for one 

semester the school has a graduation rate of over 80%.  Most of these students go to college after their graduation.  A unique program of the school is the 

work experience program which gives the students value experience in the work place.  They learn the skills needed to succeed in the work place.
