CASA of Marin is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to pairing all children and youth experiencing foster care in Marin County with a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) volunteer mentor. Community is at the heart of the Marin CASA’s mission. We are a committed community of neighbors, friends, supporters, staff, and board members dedicated to serving children and families in Marin. The essence of what we do hinges on our ability to inspire the young people we serve. We do this by fostering intentional connections, where our dedicated community CASA volunteers graciously share their time to enhance the lives of every young person we serve through relationships.

On any given day, there are over 100 children and youth in Marin County's foster care system; 65% identify as Black, Indigenous, or Person of Color (BIBOC), and nearly all are from low-socioeconomic households. Last year we paired 112 foster children with CASAs, a 20% increase from the previous year, and this year we aim to continue that trend of supporting all foster children and youth. CASAs are often the primary stable adult following their CASA child through all the changes, providing the continuous support and advocacy necessary to help these children and families navigate the system and find permanency.
