We are contacting you to inquire about a donation for our upcoming silent auction. Our silent auction is to raise money for seniors at our school site.
Crawford is a very unique school in San Diego County. We have approximately 35 languages and 72 dialects spoken on campus with 40 different countries being celebrated. We have a large number of emigrated and refugee students who have come to San Diego and the United States in search of a better future.
However, the Crawford community also comes with various challenges. Many of the students in our community come from socioeconomic disadvantaged households, with 93% of our school population being affected. We, also, have one of the highest populations of students that are displaced from homes in the county.
Due to this, many of our students are not able to afford to participate in senior activities. We are creating this silent auction, in hopes that we can subsidize the costs of these activities, and allow more students to have the full high school experience for their senior year.
