Our core value:  Every child deserves a moment in the spotlight.

Values: We believe in the life-changing value of educational theatre.  In our educational theatre programs, we focus on growth in the areas of self-confidence, creativity, self-discipline, problem-solving, and working as a team. We choose scripts that encourage positivity, individuality, friendship, inclusiveness and kindness.

Vision:  CKP will be the best educational theater program in Orange County with an emphasis on providing a fun and encouraging environment for the actors, the participating families and the audiences.  We believe musical theater helps children develop and enhance their reading skills, public speaking, music appreciation, physical movement, imagination.   Children can benefit extensively from being involved in musical theater and CKP intends to provide the children we serve with the opportunity to experience those benefits.

We are very excited for our upcoming Children’s Achieving Theatre Excellence (C.A.T.E.) Awards Show and Gala Fundraiser on January 25, 2020. This red carpet event is very important to our organization, helping us to achieve our mission of expanding educational youth theatre for all in Orange County. Not only is the C.A.T.E. awards ceremony the moment where we celebrate the outstanding contributions of local youth from the 39 Creative Kids Playhouse musicals and plays performed in 2019, this is our nonprofit’s major fundraiser of the year.

Creative Kids Playhouse Children’s Theatre of Orange County is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to providing quality theatre education to children ages 3-18. We believe that theatre education fosters key life skills; including confidence, communication, creative problem solving and accountability. Many of our families have reported that participation in our children’s theatre has been life changing; it has equipped their children with the confidence and tools to be the best version of themselves, to value their own abilities as well as the contributions of others, and to boldly face life. We produce musicals, plays, camps, classes and school plays, and are proud to say that we provide merit and need based scholarships to at least one student for each program. In 2019 alone we have provided $9300 in scholarships to our programs.
