Crisis Services provides immediate responses individuals who face behavioral health challenges every day in addressing suicide, mental illness, addictions, domestic and sexual violence in our Erie County community. Established in 1968, Crisis Services provides a number of behavioral health interventions under one 24-hour service model – from the provision of straightforward, triage and referral services to more severe, or acute, cases that require more intensive interventions and coordinated care. Crisis Services is the only accredited provider of the American Association of Suicidology in WNY and is the local network provider for the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline.

Crisis Services is a well-established and respected community-based organization. We deliver essential, unduplicated services to Erie County and provide vital support to local law enforcement, medical response, other emergency personnel and the larger behavioral health system. Community demand is high. Every year, Crisis Services’ frontline team responds to urgent calls from over 100,000 area residents, an average of 275 calls per day. Every case varies in severity and every help seeker receives care individualized to their needs.
