Crossroads Medical Mission is a non-profit Christian ministry providing quality primary medical services to those ‘falling through the cracks’ of the current health care system in southwest Virginia and northeast Tennessee. Such individuals include the uninsured, the under-insured, those with poor access to medical care, and anyone not currently receiving medical care. We have been working in conjunction with other outreach organizations, such as homeless shelters, food pantries, community centers, and Christian churches of various denominations, since 2002. We do not charge for our services. Crossroads Medical Mission provides nearly 3,000 patient visits each year … over $1,500,000 worth of services on a $370,000 annual budget at no cost to our patients. 97% of our patients are at or below 150% of of the federal poverty level, and 95% of our patients are uninsured or underinsured. Since it’s inception Crossroads Medical Mission has had over 25,000 patients visits. Over 80% of our funding comes from local resources. We receive no federal funding or insurance payments. Crossroads Medical Mission receives Health Care Safety Net Funding through the State of Tennessee and the Commonwealth of Virginia. We are also supported by a tremendous team of volunteers, who help at various clinic sites.
We also annually provide school and sports phyiscals to Mountain Mission School in Grundy, Virginia.
