My name is Taylor Gerrity and I’m the President of the Accounting Society. Please consider our request for an in-kind donation to The Accounting Society of the Associated Students, Inc. at California State University San Marcos. The purpose of this request is to ask for your support for our fundraiser regarding our flagship event known as the Spring Banquet. To achieve this, the following information is presented below:
1. Every year the Accounting Society hosts and funds the Spring Banquet. This year our event will be held on May 2, 2022 at California State University San Marcos. This is a great networking event that ensures students get exposure to the professional community, to help their development as emerging professionals and thus prepare them for their professional careers. Hosting the event allows professionals from Fortune 500 businesses, nonprofit organizations, and other local companies to come together with undergraduate students to network for the following recruiting season.
2. The in-kind donation, if received, would be used as an item for fundraising purposes. This will help raise revenues, which will be used to fund the event. In-kind donations could include gift certificates and/or miscellaneous items such as t-shirts, cups, or small discounts. Any in-kind donation is a great opportunity for your company to gain recognition among high net worth firms and is tax deductible to you, based on our tax identification number provided in our W-9 form. Contributions will showcase the donor’s name on the item at our event, and we are happy to include any further information desired by the donor (pamphlets, brochures, business cards, etc.)
