Our scout pack is chartered through Parkside Lutheran Church. Every year, we do a Pancake Breakfast with raffle baskets as our annual fundraiser. We use the funds to cover camping trips with the scouts and buy the children class B t-shirts. Funds are also set aside for scholarships when families need help paying for summer camp OR cover their annual dues.
This year, due to the financial needs of the church, our pack committee passed a motion to donate half of our profit back to the church. I'm seeing donations to hopefully entice more people to participate in this event.
