MISSION STATEMENT
The Cumberland Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) is dedicated to enhancing the academic and social opportunities for students at Cumberland School, fostering a positive and enriching educational experience. Our mission is rooted in collaboration, aiming to bring parents, teachers, and students into a closer relationship for the intelligent and comprehensive development of children and youth.
OBJECTIVES
Academic and Social Enrichment: To actively contribute to the development and implementation of academic and social activities that broaden students' education and social experiences at Cumberland School.
Parent-Teacher Cooperation: To facilitate intelligent cooperation between parents and teachers, fostering a supportive partnership that contributes to the overall educational and social development of students.
Community Engagement: To promote community involvement and support for educational initiatives, thereby strengthening the bonds between the school, parents, and the wider community.
Educational Programs: To organize and implement educational programs directed towards students, parents, teachers, and the public, aligning with the fundamental policies set forth in Article III of our by-laws.
501(c)3 Compliance: To operate exclusively for charitable and educational purposes in accordance with Section 501(c)3 of the Internal Revenue Code, ensuring compliance with the legal framework governing nonprofit organizations.
