CureLGMD2i is a non-profit that focuses on drug development for the rare and progressive disease, Limb Girdle Muscular Dystrophy type 2i. There are over 30 known genetic subtypes of LGMD, and September 30 is officially LGMD Awareness day. There are currently no treatments for LGMD. CureLGMD2i provides research grants to support continued CRISPR Technique and Gene Replacement Therapies.
To date, CureLGMD2i has provided over $650,000 to support multiple scientific
projects and research programs. We will continue this mission until a successful
treatment or cure has been found. We remain determined to secure a promising future for so many who are affected by this rare and progressive disease.
