Dakota Vipers is a 501c3 youth hockey team formed by my husband and I to allow children in our area the opportunity to continue learning and playing a sport that they love during the summer. All of our hours are volunteer. Jim coaches and mentors the players to understand the importance of building physical, emotional, social, and educational fundamentals that they will benefit from not only in their childhood but also into their adulthood. Our team works daily towards teamwork, respect, hard work and dedication to their game as well as their team.
As a team manager, I work to design jerseys, schedule tournaments, hold tryouts, schedule practices, book hotel rooms, team bonding events, fundraising events, and the list goes on. We work to ensure the cost is as low as possible so the players on our team can enjoy a sport they love without having to worry about the cost.
Summer Hockey tournaments are not held close to us, with the closest one typically 6 hours away. We travel to 4-6 in the summer.
