The Urban Inter-Tribal Center of Texas is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization with a successful 50-year history of providing culturally-sensitive, community-based services to meet the diverse needs of American Indians/Alaska Natives living in Texas. According to 2020 census data, the State of Texas is home to ~800,000 American Indians and Alaska Natives (AI/AN), with ~220,000 of them residing in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex, comprising ~3% of the state’s population.
The Urban Inter-Tribal Center of Texas helps strengthen and encourage the health and economic wellbeing of Native Americans. UITCT offers a wide range of services including medical, dental, pharmacy, counseling, and employment and job training. Additionally, community outreach programs that focus on cultural awareness for youth and adults are offered.
