Danbury Band Aids Inc., formed in 1993, is a 501(c)3 non-profit tax-exempt organization dedicated to supporting the high academic, musical, and athletic standards of the Danbury Hatters Marching Band. While the Danbury Public School District provides funding to the marching band program, DBAI covers the majority of the expenses incurred by the band through fees and fundraisers. These fees cover the expenses for students in financial need, instruments, instrument repairs, color guard flags, equipment and uniforms, band uniforms, uniform repairs, field props, and music just to name a few, in addition to offsetting the cost of travel expenses to local, regional and national competitions and events. DBAI is working towards a goal of eliminating the expenses families incur for participation thereby making the program accessible to all students interested in participating.
The mission of the Danbury High School Marching Band & Guard is to achieve the highest standard of music education and performance. Making a positive difference in the lives of the band members by providing experiences to assist them in achieving their potential as they develop confidence, leadership, responsibility, and personal growth.
