The Daughters of the American Revolution is a non-profit, non-political volunteer women's service organization. DAR members are dedicated to promoting historic preservation, education, and patriotism in communities across the nation.
Our chapter, Letitia Coxe Shelby is especially dedicated to helping the homeless and hospitalized military and Veterans in our community. We also encourage children to participate in the historical essay contests and good citizen's contest each year. Every year we make lap robes, wheelchair bags and cool ties to benefit the military and senior communities.
