The Dallas Association of Young Lawyers (“DAYL”) Foundation was chartered as a 501(c)(3) organization by the State of Texas in June 1988. Through its grants program, the DAYL Foundation provides funding for law-related matters to local non-profit organizations, and it also provides scholarships for law students who have demonstrated a passion for community service. To date, the DAYL Foundation has provided over $450,000  in grants and scholarships.

The Fellows of the DAYL Foundation program provides an opportunity for Dallas lawyers to give back financially to the community through their support of the DAYL Foundation. The Fellows program was created in 2002 with seventy-nine Founding Fellows. Currently, the Fellows are comprised of over 800 lawyers and judges.

The DAYL Foundation enables the DAYL to carry out some of its philanthropic endeavors, such as Freedom Run, the annual Wine Tasting benefiting the Dallas Volunteer Attorney Program, and many leadership class projects.
