Deaconess Faith Community Nurse Ministries is a non-profit organization that provides free healthcare services to low-income residents of St. Louis City, St. Louis County, St. Charles County, Jefferson County, and East St. Louis. We exist to care for all by providing whole-person healthcare that offers the healing love of God. Our nurses meet our patients through food pantries, soup kitchens, referrals, and congregations. From there, they identify the patients’ needs and what services they are eligible for. We provide health education, exercise classes, health counseling, health advocacy, resource referral, development of support groups, and coordination of volunteers. With the aid of our donors and hard-working nurses, we have been able to help young families care for their children, make doctor’s appointments for seniors, and educate the elderly on how to safely stay active and healthy in their own homes.
