Our primary mission is to inspire and educate individuals in learning about Space, Science, Technology, Engineering, Earth’s Environment and Mathematics through our Academies, Educational Programs, Professional Development, Special Events and our many Donated Resources.
DASEF offers learning opportunities through school programs, field trips, educator workshops, library programs, community events, and summer academies. The programs compliment the STEM curriculum followed by the state of Delaware. The 40-acre DASEF campus, located in Big Oak Park in Smyrna, DE, is currently home to the Environmental Outpost, Mountjoy Observatory, Galaxy Garden, Planetary Walk, Marsh Walkway, and the Delaware Discovery Center.
Our programs and community outreach activities and volunteer efforts are designed to enrich Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) education in pre K- College classrooms and for the public.
DASEF strives to improve the quality of life through its advocacy of STEM education, the environment, and strengthening the workforce.
