The purpose of Denton Freedom House, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization since 2004 is to liberate broken men and women from their bondage of sin and addiction by the transforming power of the gospel of Jesus Christ and to equip them to become prosperous disciples of Christ with Kingdom vision purpose and direction. Since inception over 15 years ago, DFH has assisted thousands of men and women coming out of a variety of situations including prison, homelessness and even traditional homes. The program consist of Phase I(first 6 months), Phase II(additional 6 months), and Phase III(ongoing), as residents graduate, grow and transition over time back into the community and workforce. We strive to offer support and encouragement to both the residents and their families. Our program includes a coffee shop (Zera Coffee and Events) conveniently located near the downtown square of Denton, Texas. Our men and women learn a variety of skills through their service in the shop. In addition, we also operate a community Food Pantry and serve the homelessness through out homeless camp cleanups.
