Promoting parks and recreational activities, cultural activities and a healthier lifestyle for the citizens of Des Plaines. Provide scholarships for kids to participate in a variety of Park District activities.
The Des Plaines Friends of the Parks is a volunteer organization that:
-Organizes events to raise funds and provides volunteer participation opportunities.
-Educates the citizens of Des Plaines about the value of quality parks and recreational services.
-Stimulates further public interest in parks and recreation and the preservation of park and recreational resources.
