The Penn Kidder Library provides library services to northern Carbon County as a branch of the Dimmick Memorial Library.  We are also a part of a twelve-member library cooperative that provides patrons access to dozens of online research and job-seeking tools, study and tutoring websites, research resources for students and adults, language-learning software, genealogy research tools and assistance, and STEM activities.  In addition, Penn Kidder Library patrons have virtual access to over 23,000 eBooks, Audiobooks, and magazines.  As a cooperative member, Penn Kidder Library has access to over 450,000 library items, including books, magazines, DVDs and more.

Vision Statement

The Dimmick Memorial Library, in the spirit of the Dimmick Will and Trust, guided by a forward-looking board, energized by its staff, volunteers, Friends, and patrons, and supported by private and public benefactors, serves as an evolving creative space and focal point for patrons, visitors, and knowledge seekers.  We maximize technology to ensure increasing accessibility to holdings diverse in content and format to broaden horizons, while preserving and deepening our connection to local history, while also enriching our knowledge of life beyond municipal boundaries.

 Plans for Promotion of donating organizations:

If your organization is able to support us with an in-kind donation, we will happily promote your organization. Using your graphics and branding whenever possible, we will promote your company and donation at our events, and on our social media advertising and supporting the event.
