Aloha! I'm a teacher and student activities coordinator at a Title I middle school in Honolulu, Hawaii. Recently the students in my leadership class opened a student operated store that is funded primarily by donations from staff at this point. Our store has everything from school supplies and books to footwear and basic hygiene products which are often unaffordable to our students' families. I've also been doing my best to find clothing and NFL gear from eBay so that my students who love sports have something they might be excited about buying. The best part of this store is that students are able to purchase anything they'd like with a currency called HERO points that they acquire from positive behaviors. It's a great system that helps to serve all of our students and drive them to consistently do the right things, even when it's not always the easiest thing to do. As the Cowboys are America's team (even in the islands!) and are quite popular in our Kalihi community, I was hoping that the organization might be able to donate any type of clothing or merchandise to our students. As a school situated directly between two housing projects, funds are tight and any donations would be greatly appreciated! Thank you so much for your time and consideration!
