The mission of DASACC is to help, serve, and advocate for those impacted by interpersonal violence, to be proactive regarding its prevention, and to create positive change.

According to the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence, 1 in 3 women and 1 in 4 men have been victims of some form of physical violence by an intimate partner within their lifetime, and 1 in 5 women and 1 in 71 men in the United States have been raped in their lifetime. DASACC works with victims to help then regain control of their lives and let them know that they are not alone, and that the violence is not their fault.

To fullfill our mission, and in response to community needs, DASACC delivers free and confidential services to any person who identifies themselves as victims/survivors of interpersonal violence regardless of race, color, national origin, gender, sexual preference, religion, age or disablity.

DASACC's services include an emergency shelter, 24-hour hotline, individual counseling to children and adults, emergency crisis response to police stations and hospitals, legal advocacy services, support groups, case management, and a free clothing boutique with work appropriate attire and hygience products. The primary goal of all the service provisions is for the clients to become empowered and be able to live a life free from abuse. In 2021, DASACC answered over 1,400 hotline calls, provided 13,960 bed nights of emergency shelter and served over 1,000 adults and children through various programs.
