The Domestic/Sexual Assault Outreach Center (D/SAOC) is a non-profit agency that offers a host of services for victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking, trafficking, other violent crimes and loved ones of homicide. The agency has existed for over 30 years and includes two victim service programs: the D/SAOC Crisis Based Shelter and the D/SAOC Homicide/Other Violent Crimes Program. All program services received are confidential, voluntary, free of charge, and offered to men, women, and children.
The Crisis Based Shelter offers crisis intervention, safety planning, case management, information, education & referrals, counseling/support groups, court/medical advocacy, transportation, provision of basic needs, and housing location support.
The Homicide/Other Violent Crimes Program services include, but are not limited to: crisis intervention, counseling, transportation assistance, provision of basic needs, food and clothing, liaison with law enforcement, funeral homes and prosecution, homicide survivor’s support group, assisting survivors applying for Crime Victims Compensation benefits and guiding survivors through the criminal justice system.
