Dos Puentes Elementary School is a K-5 dual-language Title 1 public school located in Washington Heights in Northern Manhattan.
The mission of Dos Puentes Elementary School is to educate a diverse, underserved and vulnerable population through a philosophy of bilingualism, biliteracy, and multicultural understanding. The school's staff and students reflect the rich diversity of New York City: the students come from a variety of ethnic and socio-economic backgrounds, with a range of abilities and developmental levels, and from a wide selection of neighborhoods and areas to interact and learn together. Dos Puentes primarily serves children from northern Manhattan, specifically Washington Heights and Inwood.
Funds raised allow Dos Puentes to provide ongoing arts/sciences enrichment and community-building opportunities for all students, affordable after school programming for children of working families, and direct assistance to the most vulnerable members of our community.
