Visit Our Website Down Syndrome Association of Central New Jersey is a non-profit organization that supports parents of children with Down Syndrome through informational meetings and social activities.
~We assist parents of newborn children with Down syndrome adjust.
~We advocate for our children with Down syndrome for integration into society through better programs and raising sensitivity and awareness to the abilities and needs of individuals with Down syndrome, this is includes: Advocacy for early intervention and pre-school programs; advocacy for educational and recreational programs during school years; advocacy for adults for better recreational, residential and vocational opportunities.
~We educate parents and others through updates on research and development for individuals with Down syndrome.
~We increase public awareness about Down syndrome including medical professional, educators and administrators of schools, recreational directors, legislators and other local, state and national officials.
