We envision a day when people with Down syndrome are fully included in their communities: working, playing, studying, and living together with their peers.
We hope that individuals with Down syndrome will be seen as ''More Alike Than Different" and strive to instill this belief in our local communities through our outreach and programs. This goal is to benefit the community as a whole, not just the individual.
The FOUNDATION provides people with Down syndrome and families opportunities to enhance their lives through strategic partnerships, unique programs that create 'inclusion' settings naturally, family support, and meaningful community involvement
The FOUNDATION provides a supportive world for over 1500 individuals throughout Florida who have Down syndrome and their families. We provide scholarships for physical, speech, behavioral, and oral motor therapy, as well as academic tutoring. We provide on-the-job training, job placement, and success coaching, as we would like our members to lead joyful, purpose-filled lives and contribute to society. We create and facilitate events for our members and their families so that they can learn, play, and thrive. We are a grass-roots organization, made up mostly of volunteers, with no highly paid employees or executives. We believe in our mission, we are a true nonprofit, and we endeavor to serve others.
