Greetings Supporter and Community Partner,
I want to start with Happy 2021!! Over the past year we have all faced difficult challenges and learned how to manage our time between zoom calls, hyper children and barking dogs as we have conducted our business and personal lives from home and/or in extremely limited personal contact in the workplace. However, during all of this we have all maintained our connection with our community and have strived to achieve the same goals as we started the year. Our organization has seen both positives and negatives during this past year and I would like to take a few moments of your time to remind you who we are, why we are here and how we are able to do the things we do.
We are an incorporated 501(c)3 serving the ten county BRADD Region. Our mission is to enhance the quality of life for of individuals born with Down syndrome and their families by providing support, information, education, resources, networking, activities and advocacy within in the communities we serve. We believe early intervention, inclusion, community awareness and support are essential to achieving our mission. Our services are offered at no cost to those we serve. We operate annual fundraisers and donations as well as rely on generous community supporters such as yourself to serve the community.
As you look toward the future of our community and assess how you will contribute to the community this year, we are asking that you consider supporting Down Syndrome of South Central Kentucky. There are many ways that this can be accomplished. You can sponsor one of our upcoming fundraising events, you will find the information for our events enclosed with this letter, you can make an in-kind donation to be used in one of our silent auctions, door prize offerings or raffles, you can help us promote and advocate by allowing us to place a poster in your place of business and allowing donations to be made at your establishment by your patrons in March and October or you can make a donation in the dollar amount of your choosing.
