DREAAM, which stands for Driven to Reach Excellence & Academic Achievement for Males, is a community impact organization based here in Champaign County with a mission to disrupt generational cycles of poverty, incarceration, and trauma by providing healing-centered and educational programming that nurtures and empowers our youth. We have persevered through this pandemic and are looking to grow our outreach and serve many more (at-risk) children here in Central Illinois.
DREAAM is also one solution to preventing violence, ending school suspensions, and building child well-being in Champaign County. DREAAM is taking action to impact the well-being of Black children and their parents in Champaign County through our new program model called Hope for the Future. We know that our boys are amazing and talented, and we want to increase conflict resolution and focus on their potential.
