Dunebrook is a family resource and child advocacy center, with an overarching goal to prevent child abuse and neglect. We provide home visitation to low income families, parenting classes, child sexual abuse prevention education, forensic interviewing, family advocacy services and contracted trauma-focused therapy. We serve more than 20,000/year. Pre-COVID-19, our service numbers were nearly 40,000 individuals/year. Dunebrook is unique in that prevention and intervention services work together toward the best interests of children. The families we serve are at risk for abuse, either due to risk factors such as poverty, substance use, mental health issues, domestic violence, parents' abusive childhood or unmet emotional needs of parent. In the Child Advocacy Center, we conduct forensic interviews upon request of law enforcement or child protection, upon a suspicion or allegation of abuse, or a child's witness to a crime.
