  • Igniting meaningful connections within our schools and community

HISTORY
Since 2000, Eastview Community Foundation has been supporting the students and schools of the Eastview learning community. It’s not just about the high school! We support Eastview High School, School of Environmental Studies, ALC, Dakota Ridge and the three middle schools and five elementary schools that feed into Eastview. Since we have no paid staff, all funds raised are directed to the students, schools and the academic community. Thanks to the generous financial support of individual donors, families, local communities and businesses, The Eastview Community Foundation has been able to award: Over $158,250 in Random Acts of Kindness to directly support students in need. Over $260,000 in Grants to the teachers at our schools. Over $1,400,000 in Scholarships to graduating seniors in our community.

EVCF Scholarship Program
The Eastview Community Foundation awards scholarships to graduating seniors of Eastview High School as well as those students who live within the Eastview boundaries and complete high school elsewhere – such as the School of Environmental Studies, Area Learning Center, and home education.
Donations and sponsorships are now being accepted for the EVCF 2024 scholarship program.

In the twenty-two years since EVCF’s inception, in partnership with our scholarship donors we have awarded almost $1.6 million in scholarship funds to graduating seniors in the Eastview attendance area. This continued generosity has helped us maintain a robust scholarship program, providing valuable financial assistance to thousands of graduating seniors.

EVCF Grant Program

Since 2005, thanks to the generous financial support of individuals and businesses, the Eastview Community Foundation has provided approximately 131 grants totaling over $261,000 to Eastview area schools.  EVCF grants have funded numerous  technology resources, access to arts and music resources and  instructional materials for students and teachers.  Some of these programs and resources  include such items as 3D printers, iPads and Chromebooks, a community garden, a news studio, theatre and performing arts center improvements, tutoring programs, science tools and  anti-bullying curriculum, as well many other impressive projects.  This year we are happy to be able to support two programs with $4,700 in grants. Thank you to the teachers and administrators who submitted proposals.   The proposals reflect the  commitment of educators to provide the best possible educational experience for the students in our community.  We hope that these grants will make a positive and long lasting impact in the community and the lives of our students.

Our Random Acts of Kindness (RAK):

RAKprogram initiative strives to assist schools in removing barriers so kids can make the most of their education. Every year since 2005, EVCF presents each of the schools in the Eastview attendance area with discretionary dollars to use in a manner in which they feel will have the most impact.School administrators use these funds in a variety of impactful ways to help meet the critical needs of students.

Past RAK dollars have been used to:

  • support community food efforts for families
  • purchase art supplies and math games
  • provide meaningful experiences and opportunities for students
  • purchase shoes, pants, and winter gear
