ECHO is a group of 300 student-volunteers from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine who joined with the Institute for Family Health in 1999 to provide free, comprehensive health care for patients in the Bronx and all over New York City.
ECHO was the first free clinic to be established in New York City and presently treats nearly 1,000 uninsured patients each year, also helping to enroll them in programs to receive continuous access to health care.
