Edgewood Youth Sports Association (EYSA) is an association in Edgewood Texas for children kindergarden through sixth grade to play football and children pre-k through sixth grade to cheer. We have been a successful nonprofit organization for 8 years. Through fundraising we have been able to purchase things year after year for our youth to use for the fundamentals of football and cheer such as air filled padded helmets, champro shoulder pads, tumbling mats, Fundraising also helps ensure the safety of our players by ensuring all of our board members as well as our coaches are AED and CPR certified annually and have attended training courses for football or cheer prior to the season begining.
Our soul purpose of EYSA is to give the youth in the community the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of football and cheer prior to middle school and have fun doing so. In our 8 years running between kinder through sixth grade, we have had 12 teams go to Wild Card games, 7 teams go to the play offs, and 3 teams go to Superbowl, with our 2021 5th and 6th grade team being Superbowl Champs! We also host events for the kids like Homecoming, Cheer Competition and End of Year Party where they are given awards for the season and we treat them to one last event full of fun to end the season. Win or Lose we want the kids to know that we are proud of everything they have given on and off the field and we enjoy being a part of their growth.
