To Whom it May Concern,
As Principal of Edison Elementary School, we are a Title 1 school with a high Special Ed population. I’m reaching out to you in hopes that you will be able to assist our school with obtaining various donations to support our STEAM Innovation Lab. We have started two learning spaces to facilitate STEAM projects at Edison. Our labs include, but are not limited to, Virtual Reality headsets for curriculum, Lego SPIKE curriculum for hands-on learning, coding experience not to mention student/teacher hands on science labs which support Science in schools.
In our school’s Innovation Lab, we will provide materials and equipment for students to explore, create and communicate their learning. Examples of learning experiences offered are 3D printing, Virtual Reality Lesson Plans, coding and STEM challenges. Materials desired are gift certificates to give families for raffles to encourage attendance from the community, materials & supplies for STEM challenges and activities, art materials and supplies. We are looking for local businesses to donate a gift card or experiences for a giveaway raffle to encourage our families to attend our afterschool events. Additionally, we are looking for science or art supplies to supplement and enhance our lab experience for our students.
