Educational Leadership Institute's mission is to devoted to implementing high-quality educational programming dedicated to fulfilling and enriching impactful changes to all children, families, and educators within the community.
Educational Leadership Institute, Inc. is launching its initiative and programs. They are as follows:
Children Giving Children Initiative engages children in supporting hospitalized children and their families. Children create messages to be delivered to hospitalized children in participating hospitals. The messages will include personalized cards with a unique link allowing hospitalized children to watch the videos. Participants can include their information to allow hospitalized children to reach out should they wish. No identifying information about the hospitalized children will be requested. This will create forever memories and friends within families. This program will create kindness and self-confidence in children and their families through a foundation of caring for others.
The teaching Leaders Program will focus on childcare teachers in building skills and techniques to provide quality classroom programming. Teachers will be in group sessions on new topics for strategies and techniques in professional development and teaching skills. Teachers receive a resource kit that includes books, materials used for group topic assignments, and templates to document their process. A final presentation will showcase classroom activities and newly learned leadership qualities. Individual sessions inspire a learning process of creating, implementing, and monitoring their professional development and new leadership skills. After completion, teachers pay it forward by mentoring other teachers. The impact is to build quality services for children by making teachers better to facilitate learning.
Moving with a Purpose Program is a preventive approach to obesity for children in childcare centers. Teachers and students are given lessons promoting health and wellness. Classrooms will receive materials for specific activities using music, movement, yoga, and outdoor engagement. It'll empower teachers to engage children with easy activities to promote healthy practices and self-confidence.
Safety Awareness Program will promote preschool kids having a safe learning environment. Teachers and students explore and role-play scenarios and implement best safety practices by utilizing safety activities in school. The second part will engage families of children who have gone through the classroom portion by focusing on overall safety in the home.
Leading Up! will build leadership skills and capacities in elementary children encouraging them to be decision-makers and problem-solvers. The focus is on low-income area schools where children volunteer to participate in a year-round program. Weekly activities include role play and problem-solving activities to get them thinking about different scenarios. Together they will create, plan and implement an initiative for their community. Participants will learn how to host an event, invite local leaders, and have the media promote the activity. Children will have an impact in helping others in their own community and giving back.
