My name is Jessica Nieves and I am a member of the planning committee for the annual Elk Grove Unified School District Equity/Family & Community Engagement Block Party scheduled for May 9, 2024.  As a member of the planning committee, I am asking for donations of goods and/or in-kind contributions to support this event.  This will be a celebration for families and a special opportunity for the EGUSD community to come together and celebrate the work that’s been done in the 2023-2024 school year.

The purpose of this letter is to ask you to support the Block Party by donating items to share as door prizes for attendees of the Block Party. Donations can range in size and/or services, including gift cards as well as specific items that could be added to a gift basket.  We are also asking for cases of water and snacks to provide the children and the families that are part of this free event. All donations are appreciated and will be helpful to us.

All families within the 320 square miles that make up the Elk Grove Unified School District deserve to feel seen, heard, and loved in all aspects of our community. Your donation will help solidify the caring that we know is inherent within all businesses in Elk Grove Unified School District’s expansive reach and beyond.

Thank you in advance for your contribution. We will make sure to let families and the community know about your generous donation with a shout-out at the Block Party. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to us.

With gratitude.
