Ellen Browning Scripps Elementary School Academic Fundraising Partnership (EBS AFP) is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization. The objectives of the AFP are to furnish students with enhanced education in academics and citizenship through enrichment programs and programs supporting basic needs, by means of personal participation and financial contributions. The foundation also informs the members concerning all aspects of the AFP programs of the School.
Funds collected go directly to fund these programs:
Online subscriptions including Happy Numbers, Kodable, Raz-Kids, TumbleBookLibrary, Reading A-Z, BrainPOP and Spelling City
Student planners, and vocabulary and spelling workbooks
Curriculum support materials such as Scholastic News and Studies Weekly
Enhanced safety and security of students by funding 2 lunch supervisors
Additional school personnel including library assistant, computer lab technician and front office support
Computer lab hardware and subscriptions to more than 5 software libraries
Teacher grants of $600 per teacher to pay for classroom activities and supplies
After-school Math Club to support struggling students
Fine Artists program for every classroom to nurture our students’ artistic talents
Fifth grade promotion ceremony
Books for the Everyone a Reader program
Medals and certificates for Morning Run Club
