Ellie's Light was started after Ellie suddenly passed away at 9mos old following a short battle with sepsis. We work to comfort those who are experiencing the loss of a child. We also strive to support those who have a child with a critical, terminal or life-threatening chronic illness. Ellie's Light accomplishes this by assembling and donating toiletry kits, bed-bound activity pouches, snacks, meals, warm blankets and stuffed animals for families who find themselves in the hospital with an ill child. We work with local pediatric hospice/ respite facitilities and grief retreats to provide comfort items, memory making items, activities for siblings, snacks and meals. Ellie's Light has also worked directly with families experiencing child loss or a child medical crisis to fund funeral expenses, housing adaptions, bill payments, wish grants, holiday gifts, etc. We know personally that there is nothing harder than spending helpless nights beside your sick child's bed or burying your child. If Ellie's Light is able to provide even brief moments of support and comfort to others, than we are grateful for the opportunity to keep our Ellie's light shining.
