The PTO sponsors a wide variety of educational, social, and fundraising programs and events. We provide assistance to teachers in the classroom, supplemental educational materials and experiences, support school and family social interaction, and provide a venue for sharing information on issues that impact our children.
The PTO Board, which includes a president, vice president, secretary, and treasurer, represents the PTO membership and are either elected or appointed to Board positions. The PTO members and Board meet on a monthly basis throughout the school year and Board members manage the organizational and financial aspects of all the PTO functions.
The PTO operates on an annual budget, approved by a PTO membership vote at an annual PTO meeting. The funds used to sponsor PTO activities are raised through PTO membership dues and various annual fundraising events.The PTO's success is due solely to the involvement and support from Ellington Center School parents and families. The generosity on both a volunteer and financial level is immeasurable. However, our success can be seen in the students’ pride and appreciation for their school, their teachers, their parents, and most of all themselves.
