The mission of eMpowerment Inc. is to engage our community to increase college access and career readiness for Tennessee students. We achieve this by providing basic resources needed for student success such as backpacks, school supplies and cold weather items to homeless students in southeast Nashville; facilitating college prep education through our weeklong Empower University summer institute and various workshops throughout the school year; offering early exposure opportunities to various career fields by recruiting presenters for various career day presentations throughout the district; and reducing the financial barrier students face through the administration of thousands of dollars in scholarships and awards each year.
