We provide therapeutic horseback riding activities for mentally, physically and emotionally challenged children, adults, and veterans. Therapeutic riding combines the warmth, companionship and movements of a horse with the enjoyment of exercise outdoors. For many of our riders it is the only regular physical activity they get. Our approximately ninety riders come from a seven-county area around Bloomsburg, PA. They are children, adults, and veteran riders with a variety of emotional, physical and mental challenges. Most of our riders are children, some as young as three years old; some are senior citizens.
Whatever the level of ability or need of the rider, each riding session is tailored for each individual and may involve a variety of activities to achieve a therapeutic goal or just to have some fun. Eos conducts approximately 2600 riding sessions per year.
