- Our Calling Is Simple…
To shape lives with integrity and truth as it’s written upon the heart. (Proverbs 3:3)
Our mission is to equip students of this generation with God-given tools that empower them to live an effective, abundant life, wholly devoted to the Kingdom of God.
Why We Do What We Do:
The Epicenter was founded on the unequivocal need for change in our community and the idea that children can transform the world.
Our current generation of children are products of absentee parents, lacking the wisdom to grow into productive, responsible adults, making their way through life by simply existing, while repeating the cycle. It’s not their fault but becomes everyone’s burden.
Meridian, Texas statistically holds a 25.6% poverty rate with a population of 1,513 people. It has incurred a 0.07% population decline since the year 2019, with an annual household income of $21,298 less than the Texas state average. 370 of the 1,513 people live below the poverty line. A number that is 13.3% higher than the national average, with a resounding 31% of high school students considered “at-risk” of dropping out of school.
With these staggering statistics, most of our young adults are forced to move outside of the community to be financially stable and successful. This must change!!!
We see The Epicenter standing in the gap as that difference. Transformation in our own backyard! The Epicenter is a place for children to be welcomed, accepted, and loved, all the while receiving life skills necessary to turn passion into to purpose, as they learn to walk in their God-given destiny (Proverbs 2:9). An environment of cultivation that gives them the ability to grow and thrive through opportunities that will foster a future of excellence. It begins with the children. They alone, will spark the fire of change and transformation that will impact future generations.
