For nearly 30 years, The Epilepsy Foundation Central & South Texas (EFCST) mission has been “To lead the fight to overcome the challenges of living with epilepsy and to accelerate therapies to stop seizures, find cures, and save lives.” With your AMAZING support, this past year, we served 14,085 people with epilepsy and provided 145,406 epilepsy services throughout our 79-county service area. When there was uncertainty, we ensured that our patients knew they were receiving the very best care!
The Epilepsy Foundation Central & South Texas is the only 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization solely dedicated to providing epilepsy services to the nearly 165,000 people in Central and South Texas diagnosed with epilepsy. EFCST has provided efficient, effective, quality programs and services vital to the community for almost 30 years! Our outreach clinic program provides direct medical care, including MRI, EEG, and medication, to over 1000 uninsured people with epilepsy! We believe education is the first step to ensuring safety in the home, workplace, and community. In addition to the clinic program and community and family education, we advocate for legislative initiatives that will improve and protect those affected by epilepsy; we provide support to help navigate through complicated red tape, provide resources and advocate for those in need, offer local support groups and we have a licensed mental health counselor to help people and families in need FREE of charge.
