Foster Erie is 100% volunteer run. Our goal is to provide support to the more than 400 children in foster care and the families that open their homes to these children in Erie, PA. Foster Erie is two large projects along with smaller projects throughout the year. The first project is the placement bags which provides a backpack along with all clothing, toys, books, hygiene items, etc. Most of the time children enter foster care with only the clothes they are wearing so these items along with a backpack instead of a trash bag is a huge blessing. The other main project is the Foster Erie Closet. The Foster Erie Closest is a free store for children in foster care to come and get any items they need from clothes to toys to books.
