El Segundo Girls Lacrosse provides a tremendous opportunity to develop athleticism, teamwork, and build camaraderie with peers in the community through the lacrosse experience.

The Lacrosse boys league was founded here in El Segundo in 2006. In 2016, the Pacific Edge Lacrosse Association (PELA) girls league was founded. Both programs are locally based youth recreation sports leagues for El Segundo residents. Athletes from 5 years of age to 18 are now embracing and excelling in El Segundo Girls Lacrosse. Each year we are expanding our membership and adding to our program. In 2019, the El Segundo Girls Lacrosse team won the Winter League West LA Lacrosse championship. El Segundo Girls Lacrosse has produced alumni going on to NCAA D1, D2, and D3 programs.  El Segundo Girls Lacrosse has proudly built our roster of esteemed coaches hailing from West Point, Maryland, Virginia and even our own El Segundo High School.

We want to give as many girls as possible the opportunity to play in a lacrosse league which understands that girls don't always get the same chances to compete as boys. We want girls, as athletes, to get the attention, the time and the respect they deserve. And most of all we want the girls to be active, make friends, be part of the community,  and have fun. The advantage of our program is that the athletes stay together on one team vs getting split up into numerous teams so they build self-esteem, confidence, and create a sisterhood.

El Segundo Girls Lacrosse needs your help! The highest costs to our lacrosse program are league entry fees, field space rental fees, and coaching staff wages. Unlike other sports, lacrosse currently has little to no access to experienced volunteer coaches and must hire coaches. Additionally, to decrease barriers to playing lacrosse, equipment, such as lacrosse sticks, goggles, mouth guards, and lacrosse balls, are needed for new players just trying out the sport for the first time or for those who cannot otherwise afford to purchase lacrosse equipment. We also want to offer more scholarship opportunities. Other needs for the lacrosse program are referee fees, popup tents, score keeping equipment, replacement nets, uniforms and goalie equipment.
