Created and founded by two Directors Guild of America- Assistant Directors, EVERY DAY ACTION safely, swiftly, and legally rescues the left-over gourmet catered meals from TV/film sets and delivers them to those in need: our local unhoused and under-resourced communities of Los Angeles.
Every Day Action is fast becoming the nonprofit film industry standard for reducing food waste on sets while helping eradicate hunger right here in L.A. We travel with each production we work with, serving the communities of Santa Clarita, San Pedro, and all of Los Angeles in between.
By donating surplus meals to shelters, missions, pantries, community fridges, and local unhoused communities, Every Day Action is feeding those in need, shrinking landfills, creating tax breaks, and reducing carbon footprints.
In addition to our food reallocation program, Every Day Action is proud to employ Production Assistants and Background Actors who are in between jobs to pick up and drive meals to those who need; paying them for their day's work plus a gas stipend.
Without our team of reallocators, we would never be able to reach the thousands that we do weekly.
We’re proud to be changing the conversation around food waste not only in Hollywood, but across greater Los Angeles. Expanding to grocery stores, corporate offices, food festivals, sporting events, and more. Redistributing meals to those struggling with food insecurity has never been easier.
