EWI of Columbus® is a nonprofit organization that focuses on literacy in our community by providing college scholarships for adults in transition and supporting the Columbus Metropolitan Library’s Summer Reading Program for children. In the last 15 years we’ve provided over $158,000 directly to the Columbus community.
Our EWI Foundation (Executive Women International Business-Career-Development Program) is a registered 501(c)(3) organization (87-0570469). Funds raised through these fundraisers will support the Library’s Summer Reading Program and our Adult Students in Scholastic Transition (ASIST) Scholarship Program. Literacy is important to EWI, and through our partnership with the Library, we donate two bikes and helmets every year to each of the Library’s 23 branches as an incentive for children to complete the Summer Reading Program. Last year the Summer Reading Program touched over 58,000 young readers! Our ASIST Scholarship Program reaches men and women furthering their education under difficult circumstances. In 2019 we awarded $12,000 in scholarships.
We have kicked off our 2020 fundraising efforts, which include raffles at our monthly Chapter meetings as well as our Annual Awards Gala on June 9, 2020 to fund our local literacy initiatives and we would very much appreciate your support. We hope you will help us continue to positively impact the community by donating today.
