Four years ago, 37-year-old Tim Johnston received the stunning news that he had stage 4 lung cancer. He was on top of the world – young father and husband with a successful business. Cancer threatened to completely derail his life, but precision medicine has prevented that. Today, he is cancer-free thanks to a drug targeted specifically at the mutation that was driving his tumor.

Tim was lucky that his mutation had previously been identified by cancer researchers, and his treatment path was clear. Not all cancer patients are so fortunate. That’s why F3+R, Inc. exists. We want to help accelerate cutting-edge precision medicine research at the Indiana University Melvin and Bren Simon Comprehensive Cancer Center.

To our supporters, we appreciate the generosity you have shown us. It is because of you that we have been able to raise more than $450,000 to help more cancer patients live longer, fuller lives.

Our next goal is to raise $500,000 needed to support IU research that seeks to broaden the impact of precision medicine by expanding the number of people who have “targets” that precision medicine can be used to treat.
