Since 1909, NAACP supporters have been vigilant and vigorous defenders of civil rights for all
Americans. There isn’t a person, community, or state in America that hasn’t been touched by
the NAACP. We’ve made tremendous progress on important issues, but much more work must
be done. Through the Fairfax County NAACP Freedom Fund event, we seek to continue our
activism on major areas of inequality, exclusion, and discrimination facing African Americans
and other minority groups that are the focus of the NAACP’s work, including the following:
Economic Sustainability
Education
Health
Public Safety and Criminal Justice
Voting Rights and Political Representation
Events
