Fairfield runs as a cooperative, with each family assigned a job in support of the school. These jobs include classroom aide, teaching hands-on science, coordinating the garden (in which each student has their own plot), supervising the playground, and facility maintenance. Fairfield relies heavily on parent participation and P.T.A. financial support.
